General Nursing & Midwifery- GNM

Eligibility :

Indian Nationality :

  • Candidates for admission to GNM course should have passed 10+2 / equivalent examination with English as one subject and with minimum of 40% marks from any recognized Board.
  • The candidates belonging to SC/ST category with pass marks are eligible to apply. Science group with Physics, Chemistry, and biology is also preferable. In the absence of applied candidates with science group , candidates with other subject groups may also be considered.
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 Health Care Science in Vocational stream from any recognized Board, State/ Central are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates from State open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by the Central Government are also eligible for submission of application.
  • Registered ANM are also eligible to apply.

How to Apply :

  • The applications are made available at School of Nursing
  • Duly completed application form shall be sent by speed post/registered post or shall be submitted directly to the Principal, KIMS School Of Nursing, Chempakamangalam, Korani P.O, Trivandrum-695104.
  • The last date of receipt of application shall be declared as per norms .
  • The application submitted directly/by post shall be enclosed in a envelop and should be titled “Application for Diploma in General Nursing& Midwifery”.
  • The Self-Attested Copies of the following documents are to be attached along with the application form

Required Documents :

  • Relevant certificates of qualifying examination
  • Certificate to prove date of birth
  • Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended
  • Certificates to prove proficiency in extracurricular activity, if any.
  • Migration Certificate from the concerned institution (studied outside Kerala)
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner
  • Copy of Aadhar
  • 5 Passport Size Photographs.
  • Certificate in proof of SEBC/OBC/SC/ST status & Income Certificate obtained from the Revenue Authorities concerned.
